IPSC Practical Pistol
What is IPSC?
IPSC (International Practical Shooting Confederation) is a dynamic shooting sport that tests accuracy, speed, and power. Founded in 1976, it has grown into the world's largest shooting sport organization with over 100 member countries. Unlike traditional marksmanship that focuses purely on precision, IPSC combines athletic movement with shooting skills.
Unlike static target shooting, IPSC challenges you to move through courses of fire, engaging targets from various positions and distances. You'll learn to shoot on the move, transition between targets rapidly, and make split-second decisions under time pressure. It's as much a mental sport as a physical one.
What does training look like?
- Safety briefing and equipment check
- Fundamentals practice: draw, grip, stance, sight alignment
- Dry-fire drills to build muscle memory
- Live-fire exercises on various target setups
- Stage walkthroughs and competition simulation in mini-match format
Who can join?
Anyone 18 years or older can join our training program. Complete beginners are explicitly welcome — in fact, many of our members started with zero shooting experience. Our instructors are experienced in teaching from the ground up, ensuring you build proper habits from day one.
What do you need to start?
You don't need your own equipment to begin. We offer club gun rentals for training sessions, including pistols, holsters, and all necessary safety gear. As you progress and decide to compete, you can invest in your own equipment. Our coaches can advise you on the best gear for your goals and budget.
